# Scholarships at Epsom College Malaysia

The school's scholarships are ECM Libra Foundation awards for academically gifted students from ASEAN countries. It publishes no sports scholarship. From Korea, China or elsewhere outside ASEAN? Ask us before you plan around an award.

## What the school offers

Generously supported by the ECM Libra Foundation, Epsom College Malaysia offers full and partial scholarships to academically gifted students from across ASEAN. These are the scholarships the school publishes.

### Who they are for

Academically gifted students from ASEAN countries. The foundation sets the criteria, and the school's admissions team explains how an award sits alongside an application for a place.

### What an award covers

Awards are full or partial. The foundation and the admissions team confirm what a given award covers, so we do not quote figures on this page.

## Scholarships and sport

The school does not publish a sports scholarship. A tennis, golf or football player who hopes to train full time with Mouratoglou Academy Malaysia, GOLFZON Leadbetter Academy or LALIGA Academy Malaysia applies for a place in the ordinary way, and the academy coaches assess the sport.

### Ask before you assume

If you have heard of an award through an academy, ask the admissions team to confirm it in writing before you rely on it. We are glad to put the question to them for you.

### What makes a strong application

School reports carry an application for a place, and for an ECM Libra Foundation award the academic record is the whole case. A competition record, a coach's reference and a short video help the academy coaches see the sport.

## How to apply, step by step

### Step 1: talk to us

Ask the camp team. We establish the year group and the entry date, and introduce you to the school's admissions team.

### Step 2: apply to the ECM Libra Foundation

Scholarship applications are made directly to the ECM Libra Foundation, which the school's own scholarship page links to.

### Step 3: apply for a place

The school's admissions process runs alongside: the application, the entrance assessments and an interview. The Admissions page under Boarding School describes each step.

### Step 4: the decision

The admissions team explains how an award and the offer of a place fit together, and puts both in writing before you accept.

## Common questions

### Does the school offer sports scholarships?

It does not publish one. Its published scholarships are the ECM Libra Foundation awards for academically gifted students from across ASEAN. Ask the admissions team what, if anything, applies to a student-athlete.

### Who can apply for an ECM Libra Foundation scholarship?

Academically gifted students from across ASEAN. The foundation sets the criteria and takes applications directly.

### How much does a scholarship cover?

Awards are full or partial. The foundation and the admissions team confirm what a given award covers; we do not quote figures here.

### Does a scholarship guarantee a school place?

A place follows the school's own admissions process: the application, the assessments and an interview. The admissions team explains how that and a scholarship fit together.

### Can we apply from overseas?

Yes. Scholarship applications go straight to the foundation, and a consultation with our team can be held by video.

### Does my child need to attend a camp first?

No. A camp is a good way to see the school, and for an athlete to train with the academy coaches, but you do not need one to apply.
