How camp works, where to be and when, and how to reach us. A two-minute read that makes the whole camp smoother.
Residential check-in opens at 14:00 on the first day of Winter Camp and runs to 16:00, at the Main Building Reception. Bring the passport or ID, hand over any medication, and meet the house team. Day campers are dropped off each morning and collected each evening.
For a chaperoned flight, a camp chaperone meets campers at the departure airport, flies with them and stays with them until check-in at camp; the return runs the same way. The meeting point, the chaperone's contact and the flight details are sent with the ticket. Passports should be valid for six months beyond the return date, and we tell you exactly which airline forms are needed.
A day at Winter Camp:
Your camper's house, classroom and activity group are assigned before arrival and printed on their lanyard. The campus guide lists the main buildings and sports venues.
Epsom College Malaysia has a Medical Room at the centre of campus and a Sanatorium near the boarding houses. Registered nurses are on duty during the school day, with 24-hour medical care in the Sanatorium during term time. Winter Camp runs in term time, so the Sanatorium is staffed 24 hours. Medication handed in at registration is stored and given by staff at the stated times, and a record is kept. If a camper is unwell you hear the same day, and a nurse or member of staff goes with any camper who needs treatment off site.
Everything at camp is included: meals, excursions and equipment. Campers do not need cash. A small amount for souvenirs on an excursion is enough, and the house team looks after it for younger campers.
Photos and chaperone updates appear in your account during camp. For anything urgent, the 24-hour welfare line is on your confirmation. Campers are never unsupervised.
Safeguarding comes first: vetted staff, strict supervision ratios, and gender and age-appropriate boarding. Phones are handed to house staff on arrival and kept safely. House staff arrange calls home, and you can always reach the camp team.
Check-out is 12:00 on the last day, after the closing ceremony. Bring ID to collect your camper; only an adult named in your account may collect. Campers on chaperoned flights leave with their chaperone, and airport transfers are listed on your confirmation.
